Join Team Sundance on this exciting new SUP adventure through the Weitchpec Gorge on California’s Trinity River!
The Trinity River, located in Northern California, is the Klamath River’s largest tributary. The Upper and Main forks of the Trinity have been popular with boaters for years, but we’ve got our sites set on the Lower Trinity as the perfect river for Stand Up Paddleboarding, or SUP.
The Lower Trinity’s lush mountain setting is often overlooked by boaters seeking more challenging rapids, but the Class II whitewater is perfect for SUP enthusiasts looking to move past flat water. Boasting several wilderness sections and finishing with a spectacular run through the Weitchpec Gorge, Team Sundance will spend 3 days and 2 nights exploring this beautiful river.
You’ll paddle over 30 miles on this scenic stretch with support rafts to transport your overnight gear. Each evening will be spent at a riverside campsite where Team Sundance will prepare delectable dinners and big breakfasts to power you though the next day’s paddle. With stunning spots for hikes and afternoon swims, you will have 3 days full of play!
